MAE LA

🇬🇧 Mae La - a 30 year old Refugge camp for burmese refugees in Thailand

It exists since more than 30 years and offers place to hundreds of people who had to leave their homes hastily because of military dictatory.
Now they live in a huge village surronded by a large fence and numerous armed military.
In peace. But not free. They are not free to do what they might have done before. They are not free to go where they want to go. They are not free to go home. Home to their families who might still be there...

What does peace mean for a single person if war is going on?

The whole story about my Journey throug Thailand and especially to the refugee camp you can read on my Blog in the article rent a scooter in thailand

Die ganze Geschichte zur Reise durch Bangladesch findet man auf meinem Blog im Beitrag rent a scooter in Thailand (deutsch)
